The Diabetes Feet Australia (DFA) Conference 2017 Committee would like to extend a very warm welcome and thank you for your interest in our conference! A welcome as warm and bright as the beautiful weather you can expect in Queensland’s Gold Coast in September 2017, our host city for the DFA conference.
After two successful conferences at the Liverpool Hospital in 2013 and 2015, this is the third in the Australian Diabetic Foot Conference series. We will bring some of the globe’s most renowned researchers and clinicians in the fields of diabetes and foot disease to the Gold Coast, to cover the latest research, from bench-top to bedside.
We welcome delegates from all multidisciplinary specialties caring for people with diabetic foot disease. The conference offers unique content for everyone, from people working every day at the coalface of the disease to researchers studying the solutions of the future.

The DFA Conference 2017 is the evolution of the highly acclaimed Sydney Diabetic Foot conferences of 2013 and 2015. Our thanks to Liverpool Hospital for successfully hosting the previous events.

DFA Conference 2017 builds upon the success of the previous Sydney Diabetic Foot Conferences at Liverpool Hospital. The 2017 event will deliver you more topics, workshops, engagement and networking opportunities.
The Venue
DFA 2017 will be held at the Gold Coast, in the QT. All parts of the conference program are conveniently close to each other in this hotel, giving you the chance to get the most out of your time at DFA 2017.

The Program
Our international speakers (Prof Nicolaas Schaper, Dr Randall Wolcott, Dr Bijan Najafi, Dr Andrew Hill, A. Prof Andrew Holden and Dr Jaap van Netten) will be delivering six plenaries lectures and eight interactive workshops. These cover our main topics: multi-disciplinary practice, infection, biomechanics and vascular.
In addition, the program boasts further plenary lectures, abstract sessions, and an amazing social program that facilitates networking with diabetic foot leaders - all on the beautiful Gold Coast.
