An evening with Dr Kevin Woo – Webinar/Seminar 4th October 2017

DFA’s partner organisation, Wound Innovations, invite you to this exclusive event with internationally renowned wound expert, Dr Kevin Woo (Canada). The seminar will cover highlights from Dr Woo’s research and practice interests including Wound bed preparation, Biofilm disruption and Mechanical debridement. 

Dr Kevin Woo PhD, RN, FAPWCA (Canada)
Dr. Kevin Woo is an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University, School of Nursing in Kingston, Ontario. He is recognized as a national expert in wound care and has served on a number of expert panels and advisory boards to develop the Best Practice recommendations. His research interests include using pressure ulcer as a quality indicator, safe practice for the management of mixed arterial venous leg ulcers,, pain related inflammatory responses, relationship between wound-associated pain and psychological stress, guideline implementation and knowledge translation, and administrative database research. Dr. Woo is a recipient of the 2012 International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Early Career Research Award. Kevin maintains his clinical expertise and functions as an Advanced Wound Consultant at the West Park Health Center, a specialized chronic care and rehabilitation hospital in Toronto. He is the web editor for the Advances in Skin and Wound Care web site and one of the co-editors for Chronic Wound Care, A Clinical Source Book for Healthcare Professionals, 5th edition.
