'What's New in DFU' Brisbane – last chance to register!

Following the successful 2016 sold out event, Diabetes Feet Australia invites you to next Tuesday’s exclusive evening to hear ‘What’s new in DFU’ from the world’s best in diabetic foot disease research, clinical treatment and technology in Brisbane.

Renowned international researcher, Dr Sicco Bus will be highlighting key strategies for preventing DFU recurrence and extending “DFU remission”. His presentation will include detailed insights from his collaboration with Prof David Armstrong and Andrew Boulton which led to the recent publication of their landmark review “Diabetic foot ulcers and their recurrence” in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) in June 2017.

Why is that a big deal I hear you ask? Apart from the importance of preventing DFU recurrence, the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) has one of the highest impact factors of any journal in the scientific world and this is the first ever time a full diabetic foot article has been published in NEJM.

Dr Bus is also joined by international podiatry expert Fiona Murray and vascular surgeon, Dr John Bingley. Fiona Murray will focus on technology and the impact on access for the Diabetic Foot patient in a rural & remote setting. Dr John Bingley will be presenting from a clinical perspective – interdisciplinary team in treatment of the diabetic foot ulcer, patient referral timing and pathways.
